There is a crisis on the Moroccan border. Migrants are stranded with little food and no access to medical care or shelter.
Thankfully, through our partnership with the International Aid Committee (C.E.I.) of the Protestant Churches of Morocco (E.E.A.M.), this doesn't have to be merely another depressing news story. C.E.I. has medical personnel and the means to get food, medical care and shelter to these migrants, but they need your help. That's why were are offering to sell boxes of Christmas cards (something you need!) in order to raise funds for basic care of these migrants through church volunteers and aid workers.
Think you can't make a huge difference in a person's life? Think again:
*$8 will buy a blanket for someone living without heat (and often shelter)
*$10 will buy food (rice, flour, oil, sardines, sugar) for one adult for two weeks.
*$15 will pay for bloodwork -- one test run.
*$20 will pay for a medical prescription for a sick or injured person.
*$25 will pay for an x-ray for an injured person (often broken bones)
*$50 will pay for housing for one woman for one month
Order your box of Christmas cards by clicking here, and pick them up at KBF offices in Louisville by emailing me at email@example.com to arrange a pick-up time, or pay a little more for postage and handling, and we'll send it to you! You'll get 10 per pack, with pictures of ministries in Morocco, a Bible verse on the inside, and a place to let folks know you have given them more than a card--you have donated on their behalf to provide crucial care to a person in need!
You can also choose to donate a larger amount in honor of a person of your choosing, and we'll send a special card on your behalf to them! Donate online using the "Special Christmas Card" Gift Option, then email firstname.lastname@example.org with your recipient, their address and a 50 character-or-less message and we'll send it to them!
Give the gift of nourishment, health, and shelter to someone in need this Christmas!
