On March 6, starting at 1 P.M., 15 churches represented by clergy and lay people will gather on the campus of Georgetown College for Kentucky's first gathering for a Dawnings Retreat. As far as we know, this will be the largest Dawnings' gathering held anywhere to date. Dawnings is the creation of the National CBF. Dawnings attempts to further the missional journey of each church by looking at "Visioning", "Forming", and "Engaging". The Georgetown retreat will be led by Dr. Bo Prosser and Dr. Harry Rowland. Because of a grant to the CBF, there is no cost for lodging and meals while you are at the Dawnings' Retreat.
The first step in the Dawnings process is participation in a Dawnings Introductory Retreat. A small group of leaders from your church gathers with the leaders of other churches to get an in-depth look at the Dawnings process and begin to experience the approaches it offers.
Multiple retreat opportunities are offered each year. Schedule and locations at www.cbfdawnings.org. Space is limited so sign up early.
