Minister & Baptist Seminary of KY Graduate
I am trying to organize a summer reading group of alumni, students, professors, and area ministers and you are invited!!
I took a little survey and settled on this book:
Resisting Structural Evil: Love as Ecological-Economic Vocation, by Cynthia D. Moe-Lobeda. Moe-Lobeda’s Lutheran acknowledgment of the moral ambiguity of all human action does not deter her from calling for an ethic of love that aims at forging just and sustainable relations between humans and the earth. Her argument is presented in a clear, accessible style and is interspersed with compelling stories.
We will meet three times to discuss the book and cover approximately 100 pages each time. We'll meet at noon on Thursday, June 12, Tuesday, July 1, and Thursday, July 24, at a restaurant in either Georgetown or Frankfort (depending on where everyone is coming from).
You can purchase the book online at:
(If you purchase the book from Amazon I suggest going first to smile.amazon.com and choosing Baptist Women in Ministry as your charity before searching for a purchasing the book--a portion of the sale will go to BWIM.)
Please let me know if you are interested in joining us by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will make a separate email group for those of us interested! Also, feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested.
