We have a family for our Extreme Build #10 house! Tasha Eldridge and her kids are very excited about moving into a home of their very own and she is eager to participate in the build.
The date for Extreme Build 2015 will be the week of June 8-13, with volunteer check-in on Sunday, June 7. As usual, there will be a group of dedicated and skilled volunteers putting together the bones of the house during Pre-Build, June 3-7.
Tasha's introduction to the fellowship is below in her own words:
Hello, My name is Tasha Eldridge and I was born and raised in Stearns Ky. I have three kids: two son’s and one daughter. My oldest son is Lucas Ray Eldridge who is 8 years old and Nicholas Tyler Eldridge who would have be 6 years old. Nicholas passed away at the age of 1 year old due to health problems and was never able to come home (we stayed in the NICU in UK hospital). My daughter Gracie Mae Eldridge is 3 years old. I am currently living in a Camper Trailer and have never had the opportunity for homeownership due to limited income.
We look forward to getting to know Tasha! Registration will be underway soon and we are excited about moving toward this huge milestone of Build #10!
One additional note--We lost a dedicated, long-time, skilled and beloved volunteer to cancer last week, Bob Jones from Buechel Park Baptist. Bob's pastor and fellow builder Don Rogers and I have talked about creating a space for remembering him and sharing stories of him at the build. Each and every one of our volunteers is so special and Bob's sense of humor, kindness, and dedication will be missed.
The Fellowship is so blessed with such an amazing group of dedicated, skilled, and generous volunteers and we are so excited about being together to do good work this summer and getting even more folks on board to join us for the build!
